Happy Mother’s Day!!!
Well, not too much to update this week, cause I emailed on Wednesday!
We’ve been working with only a few people. A less active member named Mark, who suffers from a few different post-war problems, but he is coming along really well! we had a lesson this week with him that went really well, I felt like we covered the whole doctrine of the Church of Jesus Christ! He asked some deep questions, came up with the answer himself, and it was right and he thought it made sense! It’s so awesome to see people grow to a point of a good understanding of the gospel.
the family from New Zealand was not at church this week I think it’s cause her husband was busy playing rugby in Ireland this week, but we should see them soon 🙂
We have a few other people, and one really solid investigator who is getting baptized in June or July named victoria.
So we have a few people, but we are mainly focusing on finding new people who have a desire to act on the message we share.
I listened to President Boyd K. Packer’s talk from conference in April. It was so good, but so sad! I felt happy/sad cause it sounded like his last farewell! But I have had this scripture pop into my head a lot this week, as well as twice when listening to conference from April.
When Joseph Smith and Sidney Rigdon were translating the Bible, they had a miraculous vision o the Plan of Happiness recorded in Doctrine & Covenants 76. One of my favorite scriptures, verse 22 says “And now, after the many testimonies which have been given of him, this is the testimony, last of all, which we give of him: That he lives!”
As President Packer said, “Their words are my words.” And that is the same for me!
Have a great week everyone! 🙂
