DSC01893Hello everyone! This has been quite a busy week! At the beginning we visited around with a lot of ward members so Elder Grant could say bye to them. But we also were able to meet with Dougie (who we haven’t seen in ages) on Monday, and also Saturday! We did a bit of a review on the Restoration and also read 3 Nephi 11 with him, and explained the authority to baptize and all that fun stuff. He seemed to understand it very well, and he knows what he needs to do to get his answer! He isn’t sure if it’s true yet, but he said he will definetely read more of the Book of Mormon and pray about it as well. It’s exciting to see someone progressing out here!!
On Thursday we went down to Edinburgh for Elder Sweat’s District Leader Training, and guess what I got to do?? I got to go out with the Chinese Elders out to Chinatown in Edinburgh. Did you know we have 2 chinese-speaking areas? It was way cool! I had no idea what was going on, but it was fun to walk around downtown Edinburgh near the castle (I remembered one of the streets from when I came here when I was 9!) and watch them speak Chinese to people. Then I spent a bit of time organizing Books of Mormon for the supply lady. It was a fun day! Friday lots of appointments got cancelled sadly. Saturday was a lot of fun! We saw Dougie and also were able to go to our Burn’s Supper at the church! It’s a big celebration for the life or Robbie Burns, a poet from scotland that had a big impact on the culture. We had Haggis, Neeps, and Tatties! (Parsnips and Potatoes) and it was way good! I like Haggis 🙂 It’s not nasty like it sounds!
Church was great. All about prophets! But we did get drenched on the way there. No snow here yet! Then the weather cleared up and we went about 6-7miles yesterday walking to try and find this one house. We never found it :/
But this week will be better! I know I keep saying that, but I mean it! haha have a good week everyone.
