Any open house date yet? and can you send me a photo of it I could hang on my wall? Maybe the one that’s already in my room, if it fits!
So we had an excellent Zone Meeting in Limerick this week, and we made it a goal to make the Limerick District a STAKE by March 2014!! We need 30 more active Melchizedek Priesthood holders, we can do it! it’s very exciting and I hope I’m here for it! Oh and one of the Zone Leaders told me that the other Zone Leader said I’m Excellent at talking to people on the street, which means that teh Zone leaders talk about me. Then I remembered a talk called “Beware of Pride”! haha I’m just kidding, he really did say that, but that doesn’t mean anything.
Me and Elder South were talking this week about how hard the adversary is working, and we can see that out here, so we made it a goal to work harder than the adversary!
We’ve also been working on a less active(LA) family who are really good. They have 5 boys, but the husband was killed a few years ago and he used to be the branch president so it’s really hard for them to come back to church. We’re taking it slow with them, and just doing service for now. Another LA family is from Ukraine. Communication is difficult, and they live far away so it’s hard to get to them, but we’re working on it! The last LA family is a young couple. Actually She is from Utah and her whole family is active, but she moved here and they got married, but he’s an investigator. Honestly, they are the most normal people I’ve met on my mission. Very funny, but they are normal, and that’s a good thing! The Cork Hurley team was in the Superbowl of Hurley (an Irish sport) on Sunday, and it was a BIG deal! The whole city was decorated in red and white, and people were going crazy! But guess what? the game ended in a draw, so they play the final game (again) at the end of September! It’s hard to proselyte during those times, we’ll just have to get a dinner appointment or something!
So I got told this week by an old lady that I look like Obama……yeah.
On Saturday we went street boarding, which is where we stand outside with a big sign that explains simple doctrines, principles, and beliefs of our church, and we go and talk to everyone that we can. In 1.5 hours I taught 3 lessons and got a few return appointments. I loved it!! it’s so much fun, plus you do it by yourself without a comp so it’s good practice. I wanna do it more!
Well that’s all for this week, hope everyone is doing well!
